So, you have a space? But, you can't seem to attract people looking for spaces to hold their weddings, corporate gatherings, and other celebratory events. I have listed some pointers for you to attract the audience you want to target with your new venture.
1. Create Packages
It may seem like you're jumping the gun, but the sooner you put together packages, the less likely you are to feel stressed out when people ask you about your packages. You don't have to add a bunch of packages. You can narrow them down to a few different options.
What I have noticed when finding venues for my clients is that packages are ideal to prevent the overwhelming feeling of too many options. Venues/Spaces that create packages with a few key options tend to book their ideal audience more often than venues/spaces that provide too many choices.
Use the K.I.S.S Selling Technique "Keep it simple and straightforward".

2. Create a website and social media accounts
If you do not already have a website or social media accounts it is time to create one. We live in the digital world and if you refuse to show presence in this world you are guaranteed to fall behind. You can easily create a website using free templates. Some popular options include Wix, Squarespace, and WordPress.
Next, go ahead and grab the social media handles on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Once you start getting your spaces up and running, you can share behind-the-scenes photos, events, design, and vendor shoutouts to drum up buzz for your new event space.
3. Images are important
People visiting your website will likely be interested in renting your space for an event. It is wise to include photos of your space with different event types. The best way to do this is to create a styled shoot that shows off how your space. People are very visual, and if they can't visualize their event in your space. You will have a hard time selling it.
4. Figure out your venues specs
People interested in renting your space for their event will likely have questions about their event. Make sure to have as much information available. Figure out things like what A/V equipment your space can support, load in/load out details, how many chairs/tables can fit in your space, what can you offer in terms of food/drink, what is your bar setup, and much more. The more information you have available the better.
Be sure to include where your space is located, what the parking situation looks like, are there any hotels nearby, and you can also include some fun details that make your space stand out.
5. CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
