Welcome back! Last week we took a little break. This week we are back at it! The wedding design is very important to the look of your wedding. In the beginning, you figured out your formality, timing, and flow of your wedding. Now it's time to figure out your design!
I've always wanted either an Arabian themed wedding or to get married in Morocco. So instead of us flying off to Morocco, I brought Morocco to our wedding. Our color theme is navy blue, silver, peacock green (teal), and white. With those colors in mind, I need to figure out the colors of the guest table linen, food station linen, sweetheart table linen. I would also have to figure out the centerpieces, boutineers for the men, uplighting, and stage decor. Yes, that is a lot!
Best way to do this is to take one step at a time. Our first step is linen. You would think this would be easy but definitely not that easy. Along with the colors you have to think about the material of linen. Do you want the simple polyester or an upgraded satin, pintuck, majestic? Also, do you want floor length of mid-length? With all these questions in mind. Think about what looks pleasing to the eye. What creates the experience you want for your guests?
We want our guests to walk into a Moroccan paradise but a very fun atmosphere. Since both are main colors are darker silver is a great way to break that dark mood. Our centerpieces will be silver with touches of Moroccan blue. Our table linen will be either polyester navy or majestic navy. Still trying to figure out which one will add texture to the whole look. On top of the guest, tables will be silver chargers with teal polyester napkins on top. Our sweetheart table will be teal and all our other tables will also be teal.
Can't wait to show you how everything actually looks. Next week we will go over the stage decor for the wedding and ideas for you.
